“I honor and respect my clients, and I believe it is a privilege when they put their trust in me and allow me to journey with them through the healing process.” – Maureen

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, and they usually include the desire to make a postive change and/or to feel better. Some common reasons for seeking therapy are to improve relationships, to adjust to difficult life changes, to get “unstuck,” or to understand, talk about, and heal from painful or traumatic experiences. When we begin therapy, I work together with my clients to clearly understand their particular concerns and goals for therapy.

I believe the relationship that develops between a therapist and client is the cornerstone of therapy, and I strive to maintain a safe environment in which my clients feel heard, understood, and respected. While I draw on a variety of clinical techniques, I mainly combine a psychodynamic and client-centered approach to help my clients with their issues and concerns, including the following:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Childhood Abuse
  • Grief
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Adjustment problems
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger Management
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Personal Growth
